¤¤¤ Domain Name
Being a Gemini, my tastes and interests change faster than one can snap their fingers. This being said, I wanted to choose a name that was unrelated to any of my hobbies, but it also had to be a name that I liked. I came up with many names, but I finally narrowed my list down to two: Amaranthine and Fairytale. I would've loved amaranthine, but I thought that it might be too hard for some people to spell. I tried fairytale.nu, but it was taken, which is a darned shame because I would've really liked that name.
Finally, I decided to try something related to elements and gemstones. I went through many of those until Aquamarine was suggested to me. I found the name charming enough, so I went to Nunames.nu and registered for it later that day.
¤¤¤ Host Information
Aquamarine.nu was purchased at Nunames.nu and the webspace was bought at Phpwebhosting.com. Both are very reliable services that I highly recommend.
¤¤¤ Site Tools
For graphics, I use a mix of Paint Shop Pro 7, Adobe Photoshop 7, Adobe ImageReady, Adobe and Photoshop Elements 2.0. To put the finished layout on the web, I use EditPad to write my html and finally WS_FTP to upload everything.
¤¤¤ About This Layout
After many failed attempts at something more complicated, I opted for something simple and this is the result. It reminds me of a hotel by the beach because of the colors. I also used lines from different lyrics to spruce it up a little. I don't know if it worked well or not, but I like it either way.
