Umbrella Scientist
Originally, Ada was a non-playable character and Umbrella scientist named Linda. Linda can be seen with an early version of Leon in beta videos for Resident Evil 1.5, the scrapped version of Resident Evil 2. Instead of her trademark red dress, she wears a white Umbrella lab coat, red sweater, and khaki trousers. The model for Linda was one of the few 1.5 characters to make the final cut, and she eventually became Ada, a spy working for an outside organization. Her former occupation was later recycled in the storyline, as Ada pretended to be an Umbrella scientist to get close to John.
Other early designs of Ada show her in more tactical Umbrella gear. Possibly these designs marked the transition from scientist to spy. For more Resident Evil 1.5 information, check out Bioflames.
Title Changes
Ada's original mini-game, known as "Assignment Ada" in North America and Europe, was originally called "Ada the Spy". Although both titles make sense, the original name may have been too literal for English speakers. Ada's second mini game also received a name change. Known in Japan as "The Another Order" it was renamed "Separate Ways" for the overseas versions, probably for grammatical reasons.
Ada in a Resident Evil Movie
George Romero, a director famous for zombie films like Dawn of the Dead, was once considered to script and direct the Resident Evil films. The script he wrote for the first film included Ada, although this character was more similar to the Ada of Resident Evil 1.5 than the one we know from the games. In Romero's film, Ada was a scientist whose boyfriend, John Marcus, was killed by Umbrella. Romero's entire script can be read at the Internet Movie Script Database.Exploding Sunglasses

Black Underwear
It's impressive how well Ada's intimates were hidden in Resident Evil 4 considering all of the acrobatics Ada performs in her high slit dress. One scene, however, (almost) reveals all.
In the scene where Leon is possessed by the Plagas and chokes Ada, Ada pulls out her knife and moves forward to stab his leg, revealing her black underwear for about a second. As she moves her leg to kick Leon, the back of her dress moves slightly, bearing a bit of her back side. It's pretty amusing considering someone had to have purposely included that in the scene.
Jet Ski Trail
After you complete Separate Ways, watch the entire credits reel. At the very end, if you look at the ocean, you should be able to see a water trail moving towards the sunset (Leon and Ashley on the jet ski).Leon in the Beginning of Separate Ways
You can catch a glimpse of Leon running away from an angry mob of villagers in the beginning of Ada's mini-game, Separate Ways.1. At the start of the game, kill every enemy you see in the area. (You start near the side of a house)
2. Run around the bonfire in the center of the village for a while to make sure that you've killed all the enemies.
3. If everything is clear, head towards the path between the tower with the ladder and the house with the shotgun inside.
4. Follow the path all the way to the end, but don't go through the door in any small houses.
5. Turn around and head back towards the center of the village. You should see Leon running away from a mob of villagers!
