All things Resident Evil are property of Capcom. That being said, lets begin. The story takes place shortly after the events of Re4. Also, this story is for those who favor the Leon and Ada relationship. If you are not one of these persons, don't bother to read further. The operation had been going well. She had managed to keep Krauser from interfering with her plans, but something had gone wrong. Somehow, Saddler managed to discover her and was trying to eliminate her. Sadly, he was doing a good job. Too good as a matter of fact, and Ada had suspected why. The operation was simple: steal a sample of Saddler's new virus for her own analysis then give it to Wesker. She paced back and forth in her cell as she replayed in her mind the events that led to her capture. It was pretty obvious that Krauser had sold her out. After all, only the two of them had known were and when to meet in secret, that's how Saddler and his mindless misfits had managed to capture her. She had to admit, it was a decent ambush. Not too many people could get the drop on her, but perhaps she got a little careless. When Ada entered the tower to meet with Krauser she had used her gun to give the railing a series of taps. Then she heard Krauser's reply taps on the wall up the stairs. Why assume there would be any problem? He gave the correct response... Oh, that's right, she thought to herself... Krauser was two-thirds psycho, one-third idiot. From the top of the stairs and from behind her soldiers rushed her. With no window to escape from she had no choice but except capture. Did he have a reason for his betrayal? Besides simply not liking...Scratch that, hating her? Their orders were to work together under Wesker, like it or not. Did the soldier boy have a plan of his own? Ada seriously doubted it. Which made her worry that Wesker decided that she was no longer needed. It was possible. But why not just kill her himself? Or why wasn't Saddler uses the plagas virus on her? She stopped pacing and slowly looked to her right out of the window of her cell and for the first time since Raccoon city she felt fear... No...It was absolute terror that she was feeling. There was a very good reason that she was still alive. The blood moon! Saddler and his minions had a ritual were they would sacrifice a beautiful woman and then drink her blood from gold goblets. It was disgusting to think about but she knew it was true. How long do I have? Maybe a few hours? At least one? The moon would be in place soon and she was stuck firmly in the cell. Think Ada! Think!!! Her hands were shaking. "Son of a Bitch!" It was good to hear her own voice in the quite of the cell but it didn't change the fact that she would soon be tied down to a stone slab and murdered! Ada had excellent training and had been in plenty of tight spots before, but now? All of Saddler's soldiers, Salazar's followers, the nut job, Krauser, and possibly Wesker wanting her dead was too much... *sigh* All she could do was stand and try to calm down. "Get a grip, girl!" There was fear in her voice. Ada couldn't regain her composure. Footsteps! They were coming for her! Shit! She could hear them making those horrible shrieking noises. The door flew open and four of Saddler's soldiers came into view. Two of them had teasers. Ada was tired and starving but had plenty of fight left in her. She had managed to blind one of them and break another's jaw but wasn't able to do much more. Everything went dark with a horrible shot of pain. Ada slowly regained consciousness. She was held to a stone slab with leather straps. Looking down she had noticed that she had been dressed in some ceremonial dress made of gold and red silk, it was a shame it was about to be ruined. It seemed that Saddler had just finished some speech about the blood ritual. Ada was glad she didn't have to hear it. Just a few minutes now, she couldn't see Krauser but figured he was around. He wouldn't want to miss this. The upright slab began to slowly move back into position. The moon slowly came into view; all of the fires at Salazar's castle gave the moon a red appearance. The slab stopped moving; she was in position now. Just seconds... On either side of the table Salazar's followers were in their black robes and bronze masks. One of them had the ceremonial silver sword, and he slowly raised it over his head. Ada thought for a moment that she saw blue eyes behind the mask, but she quickly turned her attention to the sword that would soon kill her. Her heart was racing now, she cold feel cold sweat on her brow. Damn! Anger welled up inside her. She still had plans that must be carried out. Saddler gave the follower a nod, NO! and the sword came down with a lightning fast strike. A horrible wave of warm blood swept across her face. Only it wasn't her blood, the swordsmen had killed the other trooper. Ada was filled with shock, fear, terror, and surprise. Then her masked savior dropped the sword and began to unstrap her wrists and ankles. "Who are you!?" Ada was near shock and the courtyard mob had gathered into an uproar. Some began to ascend the stairs to the section of castle that they were on. Ada hopped off of the stone slab and grabbed the silver sword. "Who are you!?" Ada commanded! She needed to know if this person was friend or foe because things were going to start getting messy. The man pulled his hood back and removed the bronze mask. "Leon! I can't believe it's really you!" "You okay?" Leon asked with a half smile. "How? Who? What did?" Ada was too shocked to form a sentence. "We gotta get outta here." Leon put his index finger and thumb in his mouth and let out a high-pitched whistle. In the crowd Ada could see something plowing its way through the angry cultists. "What the!?" Ada said, still shocked. A pure white horse emerged from the mob and came to Leon's side. She watched Leon hop on top of the horse and held out his hand. "Lets get out of here." He said gently as if it were only the two of them at the castle. Ada slowly smiled and grabbed Leon's hand and he pulled her up onto the horse. She held on to him tight as he let out a yell that set horse in motion. The white stallion leapt an impossible height over the castle walls, and to her surprise they had never returned to the ground. The horse began running higher up and up into the sky. Ada just closed her eyes and enjoyed the impossible moment. Leon turned to her and met her eyes with an intense gaze that made her feel pleasantly uncomfortable. "Ada?" "Yes Leon?" "We're receiving a transmission." "What the hell did you just say!?" Ada couldn't believe her ears. "We're receiving a transmission." Leon's voice had changed. "No! Nooo!" Ada shot forward in the seat of the helicopter. "Are you okay?" The pilot asked. "Dammit!" Ada said softy to herself, it had all just been a dream. "What's the message!?" "Wesker wants an ETA on your arrival." The pilot replied. "So why the hell did you wake me up, you idiot!?" The pilot seemed to realize the mistake he had made and returned to the controls of the helicopter. "ETA approximated at four hours from current time." Damn flunkies. She slumped back into the seat and let out a disgusted sigh. She began to think about Leon and how he again managed to save her life from a terrible monster and with not as little as a "thank you" for her. Still, he'll find what she had left for him. The thought of it brought a smile to her face. He'll be surprised, and she was sure they would meet again soon. After all, it was part of her plan. A few moments passed. Ada thought more about the dream she had and let out a little chuckle at the thought of Leon in one of those stupid masks, and from the fantasy-like way he had rescued her. But then blushed knowing that it had been in her subconscious. Okay, she though to herself. There will be time for that later, but now I have to get focused and stay on track. There wouldn't be time for daydreams if she didn't want Wesker to notice that she had plans of her own. And things were going exactly as planned. The End? Surely No. By Cats
